Public parking is available on the street. Some parking spots require payment and have a time limit, and other locations have free parking on the weekend. It’s complicated. More information below.

The Packard’s Corner station on the Green Line (B line going towards Boston College) is only 0.1 miles from the Allston Abbey. The 57 bus goes right by the Abbey, and the 66 bus has a stop 0.3 miles away.
Go through the garden on St. Luke’s Road to get to the main entrance (circled in white). Thanks to Raquel for these pictures!

In Allston, which is part of the City of Boston, parking restrictions are NOT relaxed city-wide on Sundays like they are in Cambridge and Somerville. Boston’s parking website says that if a sign has no day or time restrictions, then the restriction (such as “Permit Parking Only”) is always in effect.
Most parking meters provide 2-hour paid parking from 8 AM to 8 PM Monday through Saturday and are free outside of those days and times and on holidays. Please still check the signs.
Parking apps such as SpotHero may be helpful for securing a guaranteed parking spot for a price.
